Isaac Guerendo – Louisville / 6’0 221 LBS
Guerendo was thought to be a sleeper in this draft and could be grabbed on day 3. But after his unreal 40-yard dash where he ran a 4.33, he’s quietly becoming the talk of the weekend at the running back position. Someone I believe could be a perfect fit in this offense.
Are you following the obvious trend here?
The Bears need a speedy back, and Guerendo could be the perfect guy for the job. At 6 feet even he’s a stout pass blocker, and with paired with his top end speed could be a real problem in the NFL. Guerendo spent his first four years in college at Wisconsin before transferring to Louisville for his 5th and final season.
Louisville backup RB Isaac Guerendo had a day versus Virginia Tech, as he totaled 146 yards and 3 TDs on just 11 carries. One of the most explosive size speed backs in the entire country as he's listed at 6"1 225 lbs, while also being clocked at 23 MPH back at Wisconsin. pic.twitter.com/nNtxUeP2fe

Last year the young back tallied 810 yards on 132 carries, racking up 11 touchdowns and helping the Cardinals have a strong season. Guerendo also 22 passes for 234 yards, showing his burst as a pass catcher as well.
He’s not the most elusive back out there but his speed will alone give him a role in today’s NFL. He’s absolutely worth a late round selection in the 2024 NFL draft for this Chicago Bears team that I believe still lacks a starting caliber running back.
