Round 1, Pick 9: EDGE/LB Dallas Turner, Alabama / 6’3 247 LBS
Dallas Turner may be my favorite defensive player in this whole class. The Chicago Bears desperately need another edge rusher to pair with Montez Sweat, and I believe Turner is that guy. If he’s there at 9, it almost seems like a necessity to select him.
Turner lit up the stat sheet last season, going for 10 sacks, 53 total tackles, and 2 forced fumbles. He also fits the mold that the Bears have been going towards recently, freak athletes with a ton of upside, who also have high running motors. He put on an absolute show at the NFL combine where his testing was off the charts with a 4.46-second 40-yard dash, as well as a 1.54-second 10-yard split.
Dallas Turner is the Best Pass Rusher in College Football 😮💨🔥

Turner will need to work on his rush defense, as well as hand placement at the next level, as offensive lineman will be able to out finesse him. Those are things that can be ironed out with correct and effective coaching, which we all hope is there in 2024.
His sheer power and strength do poise a major problem, though, especially at his size. This is a no-brainer for me, as the Chicago Bears bolster their pass rush with this pick.
