Round 3, Pick 75: Center/OL Sedrick Van Pran, Georgia / 6’4 298 LBS
If you’ve followed my other mock drafts, Sedrick Van Pran has been a favorite of mine.
An absolute unit as an interior offensive lineman, Van Pran could provide the Bears a future at the center position. Even after the trade for Buffalo Bills center Ryan Bates, I still believe that Poles and company will target a center early in this draft. They’ve met with Van Pran as well, so the interest is certainly there.
The former Georgia Bulldog is a proven winner and an absolute menace in the run game. His pass blocking will need attention in the NFL, but as young and raw talent, I believe he could become one of the best centers in the league in due time.

His high-football IQ and competitiveness is something this Bears offensive line needs more of. Poles nailed it with the Darnell Wright selection in 2023, and he has a chance to do so here in 2024 if he plays his cards right.
If you’re going to pick Williams first overall, you must invest in protection for him. Van Pran offers a perfect opportunity to do so.
