Round 4, Pick 122 (from PHI): WR Malik Washington, Virginia / 5’8 191 LBS
With our fourth and final selection in the 2024 NFL draft, the Chicago Bears will be adding another weapon to their passing attack, Malik Washington. The nations leader in receptions (110 in 2023) will provide the Bears with another field-stretcher along side D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen.
Washington’s size is a concern in the NFL, but he doesn’t play like he’s 5’8. In traffic, he secures catches and takes hits, bringing a fearlessness to the wide receiver position. His route running is fantastic, and his work ethic and motor are things any NFL team would welcome.
Malik Washington finally started to build some buzz during @ShrineBowl week, but it should’ve happened much earlier.
Adapted to a new UVA scheme immediately, posted elite production, won in many ways on film, and has the twitch and burst to create big plays after catch.

He’ll need to get more physical in the future to avoid being manhandled by press coverage and to help contribute in the run game, but his big-play ability will be attractive for scouts. In this insanely deep wide out class, Washington could drop to the fourth round, and that’s where I think the Chicago Bears should strike.
Grabbing Washington would fill out the WR room in a great way, adding another weapon for rookie QB Caleb Williams to use.
