Round 2, Pick 39: EDGE/DE Jack Sawyer, Ohio State / 6’5, 260 LBS
Will the Bears be able to pressure the quarterback in 2025? If they have any intention to do so, they’ll need to look towards taking another edge rusher or defensive end to help the cause. Why not take a chance on the National Champion Jack Sawyer, from The Ohio State University?
Over his four-year collegiate career, Sawyer racked up 23 sacks, 29 tackles for loss, and also forced six fumbles. He’s a strong, high-motored defensive player who has made a big impact since his freshman year at OSU. His game should translate well in the NFL.
Sawyer also made one of the most clutch plays in Ohio State history, strip-sacking Texas QB Quinn Ewers and taking the fumble back for a game-clinching touchdown, helping the Buckeyes advance to the National Championship.

I think Sawyer comes in and imminently helps the pass-rush that the Bears have issues with, and while doing so may inspire others with his relentlessness. The fact that he is also a proven winner is something that can only help this locker room going forward.
