Trevon Wesco, Tight End
The Chicago Bears could bring back a familiar face at tight end. They could bring back Marcedes Lewis who was TE3 last season. However, he did nearly nothing during the season. He had four catches for 29 yards and a touchdown.
A younger option to return is Tevon Wesco. Wesco was with the Chicago Bears in 2022. Lewis is about to turn 40. Wesco is about to turn 30. Wesco is a good blocking tight end. The Chicago Bears signed Gerald Everett to complement Cole Kmet.
Offensive coordinator Shane Waldron likes to use multiple tight end sets so Everett and Kmet will be grabbing a lot of passes. With him, the tight ends will see a lot more work than they did with previous offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.
Wesco can come in and do the dirty work. He will help the offensive line with his blocking and can make an occasional catch. He could play more than Lewis and could be a nice contributor, giving the Chicago Bears one of the stronest tight end units in the league.
