LB Micah Baskerville
Noah Sewell was making a strong push at a big role for the Chicago Bears, but after he was carted off during yesterday’s loss to the Bills, this team may need to look at another option. UDFA Micah Baskerville could be that guy, as he’s had a very solid preseason.
Currently, he’s got 13 combined tackles and 1 pass deflection during his first career appearances, and has made the most of his opportunities. Baskerville has also looked solid on special teams as he’s tallied a few tackles there as well.
Check out #Bears UDFA Micah Baskerville nearly creating an INT with quick recognition and aggression — playing the deep zone in Tampa 2, Baskerville does a great job managing space off LOS and undercutting his WR beautifully.

The former LSU alum may have a legit chance at the 53-man roster, but if he fails to make it, he’s almost a lock for the practice squad. Mykal Walker is the obvious choice here if they don’t decide to roster Baskerville, but like I mentioned earlier, with the Sewell injury it could change things.
