Round 4, pick 103: C, Olusegun Oluwatimi, Michigan / 6’2 310 LBS
Another Michigan Wolverine off the board here, as this is where the Chicago Bears get their potential long-term center. I doubt he comes in and starts day one, but Olusegun Oluwatimi has the potential to be a very good starter in this league. I believe he’s not being talked about enough.
He won the Outland Trophy as college football’s top interior lineman for the 2022 season. That itself should speak volumes about Oluwatimi’s skill and work ethic. Many scouts have a fourth-round grade on him, but I think he could go even higher.
Whatever grade you have on @UMichFootball OC Olu Oluwatimi it’s probably too low.
Seeing very little on here about Outland & Rimington winner and not sure why.
Tested well (9-2 BJ, 29.0 VJ, 29 reps) and blew teams away in Combine interviews.
He’ll start for somebody as rookie. pic.twitter.com/hwqvueaGjm

Oluwatimi allowed zero sacks in pass protection this season as a part of one of the best offensive lines in the nation. Multiple scouts have said he acts as the captain or leader of the offense, which is so huge when looking for a center in the draft. It’s a hard thing to teach and coach even at this level. He also has lots of experience working with different run block/pass block schemes which will be a valuable skill in the NFL.
He has room to improve of course. After watching some of his film, it’s apparent he likes to set high. He might get bullied around by the faster interior linemen in the NFL, and he’ll need to improve in that regard before he starts. He needs to learn to trust himself, and his gifted athleticism before making rushed decisions on certain blocks. All things that can be ironed out with time.
There’s no telling if he’ll be available at this point but if he is, the Chicago Bears would be dumb to not at least check in. In a rather weak center class, I believe the Olu-Olu hype will gain even more traction in the coming days before the draft.
