Round 5, Pick 148: CB Arquon Bush, Cincinnati / 6’0 187 LBS
As we hit the later rounds, these selections get a little easier to make. Not so many high-risk selections taking place in the fifth round. Arquon Bush is the selection here late, the speedy cornerback out of the University of Cincinnati.
Bush was a fifth year Senior at Cincinnati last year when he had 4 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and surrendered a QB rating when targeted of 82.6. He tracks the ball well and avoids flags at a decent rate and has plenty of experience at the collegiate level. A good man coverage corner who could provide depth for this Chicago Bears secondary and be a potential special teams addition.
Cincinnati’s Arquon Bush playing the dig perfectly and making a wonderful play on the ball to disrupt the catch point on third down in the Fenway Bowl.
Bush had big shoes to fill this year at Cinci, and he’s been one of the best G5 CB prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft. pic.twitter.com/NGaDWKJ8Ag

He needs to bulk up a bit or he won’t be able to compete with the bigger wide receivers, and he needs to become a bit more disciplined when in zone coverage. I think he’d be a good addition to this cornerback/safety room and possibly learn from the veterans like Eddie Jackson.
