Round 3, Pick 61: OT Blake Freeland, BYU / 6’8 302 LBS
Some fans may not like this longer wait to grab an offensive lineman, but there’s a couple really good prospects like Freeland that’ll be available in this range. I had the decision to go with Freeland or Cody Mauch from NDSU, but ultimately took the BYU standout due to his versatility along each tackle position.
He’s a great run blocker and would fit this Chicago Bears scheme very well. Not to mention his massive frame and impressive height. Freeland has the traits you look for to become an All-Pro if he can just focus on improving a pass protector and become a little more physical with edge rushers. He needs to be coached well in order to achieve his full potential.

He’s a right tackle with lots of left tackle experience. He’s super quick out of his stance and I personally think he’s worth the risk at 61, even if some draft analysts have him falling in the later picks of the third round. Whoever they end up selecting will most likely need some coaching up anyways.
