Who will the Chicago Bears take with their tenth pick in this year’s NFL Draft?
The Chicago Bears need to be smart with their tenth overall pick in this year’s draft. The Bears could look to take either an offensive or defensive lineman with the pick, but ESPN.com has a bold prediction on who they think the Chicago Bears will take.
Who will the Chicago Bears take at number ten?
The Chicago Bears desperately need to upgrade their offensive line with how poor they were against both the pass and rush this season. There are currently four spots open on the line, with current right tackle Darnell Wright being a lock to be back for next season. The Bears drafting a left tackle with their tenth pick will be paramount in order to provide Caleb Williams the protection he needs.
In a recent article published to ESPN.com made a bold prediction as to who they think the Chicago Bears will take with the tenth overall pick. They have the Bears picking LSU Offensive Tackle/Guard Will Campbell with the tenth overall pick.
The most polished tackle in the draft
Known as the most NFL ready tackle in the draft for the Bears to be able to take Campbell at ten would really take the offensive line in the right direction. According to Kevin Fishabain of The Athletic, he wrote of the Bears taking Campbell by saying:
“A blue-chip player from the get-go at LSU, Campbell was first-team All-SEC the past two seasons and second-team as a freshman in 2022. He was a consensus All-American in 2024 and was a vocal leader in Baton Rouge. Campbell could start from Day 1 at left tackle or inside.”
With Fox Sports’ Henry McKenna also adding glowing remarks about Will Campbell with adding:
“Campbell might not be the 10th-best prospect in this class, but my goodness, the Bears need tackles. They can snatch him up here in hopes that he can help Chicago protect Caleb Williams.”
The protection Caleb Williams needs
That’s exactly what the Bears need to do is draft someone who can provide valuable protect for franchise Quarterback Caleb Williams. In what was a rookie season filled with ups and downs, and Caleb Williams is primed to have an amazing sophomore season, and drafting Campbell to be his blindside blocker is a must to ensure that happens.
