The Chicago Bears have cut defensive back Isaiah Frey, per a league source.
Frey served as the teams nickleback this season after being elevated from the practice squad just weeks ago. He had a solid game against the Panthers on Sunday but struggled previously in the season.
With Frey gone it could mean a few things. Defensive back Sherrick McManis could be healthy enough to return and take over the role or rookie safety Brock Vereen might get his shot at the spot.
Isaiah Frey was just released per source.
