Will the Chicago Bears target Pete Carroll? DJ Moore makes his opinion on the head coach clear
The Chicago Bears will mostly land respected coach Pete Carroll for their next season. The Bears are in trouble and have had a disastrous season so far. Currently, the team is riding a heart-breaking losing streak, which does not seem to be ending any time soon. The Bears are now ranked fourth in the NFC North table, with a depressing 4-12 record on the season.
Pete Carroll being a potential candidate for head coach with the Chicago Bears is quite intriguing and has fans actually feeling hopeful for the next season. Meanwhile, DJ Moore, wide receiver for the Bears, also spoke positively about Caroll perhaps becoming his coach, on 670 The Score.
“He’s respected, and he has done it at a high level. Everybody would have to pay attention and listen. Because he has done it already.” Moore said on 670 The Score.
Carroll has an impressive resume in reference to his coaching. The 73-year-old has extensively coached the college football team with the USC Trojans from 2001 to 1009 and then moved on to coach NFL’s Seattle Seahawks from 2010 to 2023.
After his full-time job with the Seahawks, Carroll moved into an advisory role with Seattle. However, he is definitely not done with coaching and is on the hunt to join another NFL team soon as a full-time head coach, mostly with the Chicago Bears.
Mike Florio Claims Adam Schefter Is Doing PR Work For Pete Carroll
Quite some time back, Adam Schefter from ESPN spoke about Carroll wanting to work with the Bears. While fans were definitely happy about the news, Mike Florio, NFL analyst, felt that Schefter was doing PR work for Carroll. In response to this, Schefter hit back at Florio and questioned where he got his material from.
Carroll is definitely interested in working with the Bears, and the team could certainly use a new coach. Carroll will be able to shape up quarterback Caleb Williams, who has been performing poorly in the current year. In his previous jobs, Carroll has worked with numerous quarterbacks and refined their performances.
While the Bears are used to working with coaches who focus on the defensive end, this can be an interesting turnaround for the struggling team. As of now, the Bears need to desperately shake off their ten-game losing streak after putting up their last win back in October.
