How does Williams mesh with the veterans?
With all of the new pieces on the Chicago Bears offense, Williams needs to get on the same page with his teammates. This is now a high-powered offense with many weapons both on the ground and in the air.
Williams was able to work with the rookies during rookie camp. Now it is time for him to get his work in with the veterans. He has a myriad of weapons at his disposal. The trio of Allen, Odunze, and D.J. Moore can be one of the best in the league. He also has a strong duo at tight end with Everett and Cole Kmet.
Finally, the Chicago Bears have a strong running back unit. In addition to Swift, the Bears have Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson. Swift and Johnson can also be assets in the passing game.
Williams has to lead this offense. He needs to know what each target needs to be successful. Also, with just one ball, he needs to distribute the ball properly to keep everyone happy. To do that, he needs to learn everything he can about his Chicago Bears teammates. That starts with his work this week at OTAs.
