Finally: The Chicago Bears are hiring Ben Johnson as head coach, and the fans are freaking out on social media
Well, it finally happened. The Bears have made their head coaching selection, and per Adam Schefter, it’s now former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. After what seemed like countless reports involving multiple candidates, the wait is now finally over.
This has to be a relief for the Bears organization. Johnson was arguably the hottest candidate on the head coaching market, and after this will likely bring in some highly touted assistants and coordinators to follow.
Fans of the Chicago Bears appeared pleased with the hire, as social media lit into a frenzy after the news broke.

Not every fan was pleased with the Johnson hire. Some believe the Bears are too cursed for anyone to save, even a top candidate. Only time will tell how the hire will affect this historic franchise’s legacy, with many hoping he can guide them in the right direction again.
