Round 3, Pick 72: RG Tate Ratledge, Georgia / 6’6, 320 LBS
Tate Ratledge might be my favorite guard in this class, and he projects to last until the late second or early third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
A nasty and strong interior lineman, Ratledge makes his mark in pass protection and shows great discipline against a strong pass rush. He won’t move around the line like some of the other guards in this class, but his expertise at the right guard position is something the Bears need desperately.
Something that stood out on tape for Ratledge is his leverage. He constantly wins at the point of attack, and you can tell by his demeanor that he’s motivated and has plenty of passion for the game. NFL teams that employ linemen like that usually win football games in January.
There’s a lot of ambiguity in this OL class over guys playing on the inside or out…
One of my favorite pure guards tho is Tate Ratledge out of #Georgia — one of the best pass protectors in the nation 🐶

If the Bears can grab Tate at this spot, I’d consider it a great value. Guard is a position that is often overlooked in the modern NFL, but without a solid duo of them, the run game usually stutters. And that needs to be a point of emphasis for the Bears in 2025, establishing a rushing attack to take pressure off Caleb Williams.
