Headlining the Chicago Bears injury report is four of the teams linebackers all sat out of practice Wednesday as the team prepares for the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Lance Briggs (ribs), Jon Bostic (back), Shea McClellin (hand) and D.J. Williams (neck) all missed Wednesday’s practice at Halas Hall. McClellin is expected to miss his fourth straight game after injuring his hand in San Francisco. Bostic was injured during Sunday’s game at Carolina but is expected to play Sunday.
Briggs had a game-high nine tackles on Sunday and is expected to play in Atlanta.
Conte & Ratliff limited
Bears safety Chris Conte returned to the practice field Wednesday after concussion symptoms kept him out for a majority of the game on Sunday. Conte was limited today and questionable for Sunday.
Defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff might be close to returning to game action after suffering a concussion a few weeks ago. Ratliff was limited in practice and still has to pass the NFL concussion protocol before being cleared. Him practicing is a good sign however.
Bushrod misses practice
Offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod missed practice again Wednesday after suffering a knee injury last week. The Bears are hopeful he can return soon.
