The Chicago Bears need to set their mind on getting Detroit Lions coach Ben Johnson pretty soon if they aim to get the guy on their side. Apparently, there are many other teams who are interested in Johnson’s services, despite him being keen on coaching the Bears next.
As per recent reports, the Jacksonville Jaguars are hoping to attain Johnson as soon as possible.
While it is true that Johnson will do quite well with the Chicago Bears, it is also true that with the Jaguars, the coach will have the chance to work alongside any general manager candidate he wants. NFL analysts have recently reported that Jacksonville is expected to fire Trent Baalke after the end of the regular season.
Under Ben Johnson, the Detroit Lions have managed to win 13 games and losing two so far in the season and are no. 2 in the NFC North. Most recently, the Lions defeated the Bears with a final score of 34-17.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears are ranked fourth in the NFC North with an unimpressive 4-12 record. With their disappointing performance so far, it is understandable that they would seek the services of Ben Johnson who has been instrumental for Detroit’s success in the current season.
Robert Griffin III Feels Bad For Chicago Bears Fan After Disastrous Season
The Bears have managed to disappoint fans very much with their abysmal performances this season. Robert Griffin III, former quarterback for the Washington Commanders, recently expressed his disappointment with the way that the team has been managed. He also went on to say that he feels bad for fans of the team who placed high hopes on them before the season started.
The Bears are riding a long and disappointing ten-game losing streak. Their last win came against the Jacksonville Jaguars back in October where they defeated the team with a final score of 35-16. From then on, the Bears have gone from bad to worse, putting up very low scores.
Many NFL analysts have blamed quarterback Caleb Williams for not performing up to mark this season. In his most recent outing, Williams and the Bears took on the Seattle Seahawks and lost the game with a shameful 6-3 final score.
In that game, Chicago’s quarterback Caleb Williams went for 122 yards, completing 16 passes out of 28 attempts, managing a solo interception. D’Andre Swift led the team on the ground with 12 carries for 53 yards, while D.J. Moore defended with six receptions for 54 yards.
