Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles has the rare opportunity to potentially add one of the premier players at one of the most important positions on a roster, and should move mountains to do it.
Over the past two offseasons, the Bears have sunk significant resources into rebuilding the offense, adding game-changing wide receiver D.J. Moore, drafting Rome Odunze with a top-10 draft pick, signing versatile running back D’Andre Swift, building an essentially ready-made offense for No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams.

The time has come, though, to make major investments on a defense that fielded an inconsistent pass rush last season and needs to contend with the likes of the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers in the NFC North before even thinking about unseating the Philadelphia Eagles for NFC supremacy.
Micah Parsons must be the centerpiece of Chicago Bears’ offseason

This is going to be the offseason of the pass rusher.
Myles Garrett has already requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns, Maxx Crosby might be available, and there is new reporting that the Cowboys may seriously consider dealing Micah Parsons to the highest bidder.
“While there have been no trade talks,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero write, of Parson’s status with the Cowboys. “Sources say there have at least been some internal discussions about whether to pay Parsons or trade him for a king’s ransom. If the Cowboys are willing to listen, they may get it.”
Parsons, 25, has tremendous untapped upside from here, even after posting 52.5 sacks through his first four NFL seasons. He’s the type of player that the Bears should trade however many early-round draft picks it takes to acquire.
Given that Parsons was an All-American at inside linebacker at Penn State before switching back to his natural position at defensive end for the Cowboys, he’s the type of player that the Bears can deploy all over the front-seven and is capable of wrecking a play and altering the outcome of a game on any snap.
Chicago has the luxury of an offense that is essentially complete– save for bolstering the offensive line, and some stud talent already in place that they can afford to make a bold move like trading multiple picks for Parsons.
Parsons is the type of player who can elevate the fortunes of the franchise for years to come, and if the Cowboys are listening to offers, Poles needs to be bombarding Dallas with potential packages to bring him to the Windy City as the centerpiece of the offseason.
