Round 7, #233 Overall — Isas Waxter, Linebacker, Connecticut
At 6-foot-1, 209 pounds, Isas Waxter has good size and length for his position. He has plenty of experience, with almost 2,000 college snaps. While he played some clot corner, he was primarily used as an outside cornerback. He is a physical player and knows how to use his size and length.
Waxter has fluid hips which allows him to transition quickly and stay with the receiver. He harasses the receiver and does a good job of limiting big plays. The UConn Huskie gives the Chicago Bears another high motor guy. He is aggressive and intense and will jar receivers trying to make the catch against him.
Waxter has the size and toughness to also play safety. However, he would have to clean up his tackling. Sometimes he becomes too aggressive and gets out of position. He would be a great addition to the Chicago Bears defensive back rotation.
