Chicago Bears home stadium of 50 years, Soldier Field, has some new and upcoming proposed modifications.
Soldier Field has been the home of the Chicago Bears for the past 50 years. That being said, 50 years of wear and tear on a stadium can be more detrimental than it seems from an outside perspective.

The mayor says that they have three options for the new stadium improvements. According to Mayor Lori Lightfoot, these options are anywhere from restructuring the endzone, to entirely redoing the stadium to make it a bigger and better venue for other options than just the Bears.
Just five years after the Georgia Dome was demolished to make way for the new Atlanta Mercedes Benz Stadium, the bears, and Chicago fire could be looking into some new suites and a larger selection of seating. After the Bears purchased land from Churchhill Downs Inc, fear of losing Soldier Stadium Grew.
As for the people of Chicago, they do not seem as pleased with this idea. Some even took to Twitter to call out Lightfoot’s ideas. This proposal comes only a week after Lightfoot announced in 2023, that Nascar would be hosting a street race right through the heart of downtown. Needless to say, these ideas if they go through will bring a lot of revenue to the city, but are raising concern about the actual residents of Chicago.
