The deal is a one-year deal for the quarterback who started one game last season before suffering a concussion. Depending on what the Bears do with Jay Cutler, Clausen will likely be the backup to start the season.
Clausen and head coach John Fox have a history together. Fox and the Panthers selected Clausen in the second-round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Clausen wen’t 1-9 under Fox and the Panthers that season.
