After two days of silence, we finally have some news on the Chicago Bears and their future decisions.
Following their NFC Wild Card loss to the New Orleans Saints, Bears brass met for two days at Halas Hall to discuss the future of this franchise and what direction they want to go in. The decision? Well to run it back without Chuck Pagano.
Per The Athletic, Pagano is expected to retire after this season with an announcement coming soon. That means Pagano spent just two seasons in the Windy City taking over for Vic Fangio and was handed a No. 1 defense:

While Chicago’s defense struggled a bit this season, they still were close to the Top 10 in a few major categories and even held the Saints to just 21 points, a season low for New Orleans. Still, a move was to be made and this was it.
In addition to Pagano leaving, multiple sources are indicating that the Bears will move forward with both Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy for at least another year:
The rumor flying around the NFL right now is #Bears will retain GM Ryan Pace & coach Matt Nagy into 2021. That's what folks working in the league have heard. We'll see if team has something this evening but that is the chatter that's out there right now.

The team is expected to announce the moves at a press conference later this week. They will also head into the offseason searching for a new defensive coordinator although Jay Rodgers appears to be a likely candidate for the team as he currently serves as the defensive line coach.
