The NFL has announced that Chicago Bears safety Ryan Mundy has been fined for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White.

Mundy was fined $22,050 by the league on Wednesday. Initially the hit drew a flag from a referee, but after discussion the flag was picked up and the hit was deemed clean.

Mundy appeared to have initiated the contact with his right shoulder as he hit White in his left shoulder.
