The Chicago Bears now have an opponent to prepare for. This upcoming sunday the Bears will face the Seattle Seahawks.
The Packers defeat of the Philadelphia Eagles have them traveling to Atlanta to play the Falcons, this left the Bears to face the Seahawks.
The Seahawks are coming off a 41-36 routing of the defending super bowl champion New Orleans Saints. The most notable play from this game was Marshawn Lynch’s 67 yard touchdown run in which he broke 122 tackles.
The Bears appear to be at full strength without any significant injuries. Despite not playing in Week 17 vs Green Bay, wide receiver Earl Bennett is ready for the playoff opener at Soldier Field.
23-20 was the score of our previous meeting earlier in the season at Soldier Field. Jay Cutler was not at his best completing 17 of 39 passes. The next week the Bears played the Redskins, a game in which Cutler threw 4 interceptions all to the same player.
At this point of the season after back-to-back losses to Seattle and Washington, many Bear fans down and out. Defying many people’s beliefs about what kind of team they were, the Bears would go on to win 8 of their next 9 games.
If you think back to the 2006 season, you might remember this Robbie Gould game winner vs the Seahawks
