The Chicago Bears have announced the signings of veteran safety Adrian Wilson and tight end Jeron Mastrud, per Zach Zaidman. Wilson adds more depth to the Bears and will compete for a roster spot during training camp.
Wilson was released from the New England Patriots in April after missing all of 2013 after tearing his achilles in the preseason. Before signing with the Patriots, Wilson spent 12 seasons with the Arizoa Cardinals finishing with 25.5 sacks and 27 interceptions in his career. He is a five-time Pro Bowler.
Mastrud has appeared in 52 games over four seasons and started 18 of those games. He spent time with the Miami Dolphins from 2010-12, and Oakland Raiders in 2013. He has seven receptions for 96 yards.
