The Chicago Bears have signed former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Byron Pringle to a 1 year, 6 million dollar deal and have also signed former Packer Equanimeous St. Brown to a 1 year deal.
General Manager Ryan Poles vowed to build through the draft and look for depth in the second and third waves of free agency. It appears he is doing just that as he looks to rebuild a whole new Bears team.

The last few weeks have been hectic, as many old faces continue to go, new faces will keep coming in. With these two free agent signings mostly being depth for the receiver room and special teams, expect the Bears to draft heavy on receiver as well as offensive line.
The Bears still have needs at linebacker and defensive backs. Here is a look at some stats for Byron Pringle last season in Kansas City. Last year Pringle produced 568 yards receiving on 42 catches, and 5 touchdowns with the Chiefs. Both signings are players that Bears personnel is familiar with. Poles helped draft Pringle in Kansas City, and Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy has worked with St. Brown in Green Bay.
These are short term deals, which makes it clear General Manager Ryan Poles is focused on finding starters via the draft and possibly through free agency in 2023 when the Bears will have at least over 146 million in cap space.
