The Chicago Bears made the decision to “run it back” with head coach Matt Nagy and General Manager Ryan Pace instead of opting to rebuild. With that decision, the future of this franchise is going to depend on what they do at quarterback.
And once again the quarterback position is the focal point for this franchise as Pace revealed that “anything is on the table” in terms of finding one.
One of the top options likely available this offseason is Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson as he has been vocal about his frustrations with the franchise. Many around the league are speculating that Watson will be traded at some point and has “played his final snap” with the team.
ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler was on “Get Up” and talked about potential trade partners for the Texans regarding Watson. Among those teams? The Chicago Bears who he listed as a “sleeper” team:

The package to get Watson has been rumored and it’s likely going to take at least two first-round picks plus a player or two. It could potentially get to three first-round picks depending on the team and the offer.
For the Bears, fixing the quarterback is the top priority and can be what saves both Pace and Nagy in terms of their future with the franchise. But would Pace mortgage to land a quarterback he passed up on a few years back?
Stay tuned.
