Chicago Bears round three target: Marcus Mbow

The offensive line prospects that could potentially be on the board for the Chicago Bears in the second round are rather polarizing. Although they will definitely add to the unit at some point in the second day of the draft, it is easy to believe that they might prioritize other positions with picks 39 and 41. If Chicago has the flexibility and willingness to add another offensive lineman to the squad in the third round, Mbow would be a guy to strongly consider.
Mbow has primarily worked at right tackle in his collegiate career, but there is a possibility that this pick for the Bears could turn into another developmental choice where they look to convert him to a left tackle. The Chicago Bears used their third round selection last year to draft Hinsdale native and Yale offensive lineman Kiran Amegadjie, who will take more time to develop than they originally anticipated.
There is no problem having as many options as possible for the offensive line’s future. Even though the front office went out and put together a better protection for Caleb Williams ahead of his second NFL season, they won’t be around forever and depth is always a good thing to have up front.
