According to reports, the Bears will sign former Baltimore Ravens edge defender Pernell McPhee to a five-year deal worth $40 million. McPhee played as a outside linebacker as well as a defensive end in Baltimore’s 3-4 defense last season. Now he moves into the Bears 3-4 defense and will primarily be used as a outside linebacker.
The 26-year-old has only started six games in a four-year NFL career but had 7 1/2 sacks last season for the Ravens.
