The day has finally come for Chicago Bears fans, jersey fans and anyone who gets excited about sports uniforms.
After years of wearing the “Monsters of the Midway” throwbacks from the 1940s, the Bears have decided to bring back the all-orange jerseys beginning with the 2018 season. Leading up to Friday, we really didn’t know much about the jerseys but now the team has officially unveiled them.
The Bears released the new jerseys on Friday afternoon via social media, giving fans the first look. Check them out:
The new jerseys are now on sale online and can be purchased by visiting the official Chicago Bears Team Store. You can purchase the jersey in the form of current players like Mitchell Trubisky, Roquan Smith, Allen Robinson and Jordan Howard or legends like Brian Urlacher, Walter Payton, and Mike Ditka.
There’s not much difference from the last time we saw these jerseys in 2012 and there wasn’t expected to be. Chairman George McCaskey announced at the owner’s meetings back in February that there wouldn’t be any significant changes despite Nike taking over the apparel contract a few years back.
The team will wear the jerseys at least in one home game this season an possibly more.
