The Chicago Bears are prepping for a few days of practice with the Indianapolis Colts before the two teams meet in the preseason on Saturday. On Tuesday the Bears rolled out their newest depth chart which features just a few changes.
The few changes are major however, as rookie Adrian Amos has climbed up the chart. The Bears listed Amos as the starting safety opposite of veteran Antrel Rolle after Amos impressed the coaching staff last Thursday.

The move actually game during Thursday’s game when second-year safety Brock Vereen didn’t perform well and lost his spot to Amos. For the rookie out of Penn State, his stock has risen and now has the driver’s seat to be the starter in week one.
Fellow rookie Eddie Goldman was the other notable as he remained the backup at nose tackle. But after Goldman’s impressive game vs. Miami, it’s hard to see him not be the starter at some point this season.
Eddie Royal is listed as the number two wide receiver behind Alshon Jeffery which was coming after the Bears announced that Kevin White would be out for a long period of time. That position is another to watch Saturday night playing time-wise, to see who gets reps and with what unit.
