Weeks 1-4 (2-2)
To open the season, the Chicago Bears take on the Tennessee Titans. The defense could face a test with one of the best wide receivers in the league, DeAndre Hopkins. However, there is a chance that he might not be there.
Hopkins has been dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of most of training camp. The Titans say Hopkins could be ready for the game. The concern is for the long-term, though. If he is not 100 percent then the team could hold him out.
With or without Hopkins, the defense will be ready. They do not want to get off to a bad start again. They are looking to be a top-five defense. Look for the unit to harass Tennessee quarterback Will Levis and force him to make mistakes.
The Chicago Bears get off to a nice start and win 27-10.
In Week 2, there is a marquee matchup between C.J. Stroud and Williams. Stroud is where Williams wants to be — the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Both quarterbacks have to face tough defenses. The one who handles it best gets the win. The Chicago Bears lose a tough one, 17-14.
There is a reunion in Week 3. The Bears face the Indianapolis Colts. Eberflus coached the defense there from 2018-2021. He still has connections there and he wants his current team to beat his former team.
This is another matchup of good young quarterbacks. Williams goes up against Anthony Richardson. Richardson was on his way to having an impressive rookie season before an injury shut him down. Now he wants to show that he can continue where he left off.
The Bears come out on top in this one, 31-20.
In Week 4, the Bears face the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have the offense the Chicago Bears hope to have and a good defense as well. The Rams will show Chicago how much they have left to do to get to that level.
The Rams handle the Bears, 34-17.
