The Chicago Blackhawks made a few roster moves to trim down their roster to 28 players as they continue their preseason.
The team sent six players down to Rockford to cut down their roster. Those six are Joakim Nordstrom, Adam Clendening, Garret Ross, Scott Darling, Dennis Rasmussen and Klas Dahlbeck. Nordstrom was an outside shot of making the team as the fourth line forward going into camp.
In addition to sending those six to Rockford, the team also cut Cody Bass and Pierre-Cedric Labrie. If the two clear waivers, they can be added to the Rockford roster.
As it stands currently the team has 16 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders. We could see goaltender Micahel Leighton sent down soon.
