The decision to extend Quenneville is a no-brainer for the organization. During his time here, Quenneville has led the Blackhawks to three Stanley Cup titles and has been to the Western Conference Finals three-straight seasons. In his eight years, Quenneville has posted a regular season record of 343-168-69 for a .651 winning percentage that is the best in franchise history. He’s also posted a .624 postseason win percentage which is the best franchise mark in over 60 years.
The Blackhawks currently have 58 points on the season as they sit in second place in the NHL’s Central Division, just four points back of the Dallas Stars.
