The Chicago Blackhawks have placed goaltender Corey Crawford on injured reserve for the second time this month. In a corresponding move, the Blackhawks recalled goalie Jeff Glass and forward David Kampf from the Rockford IceHogs
It’s not clear as of yet how much time Crawford will miss, any extended absence will hamper the Blackhawks playoff chances.
Earlier this month Crawford was placed on injured reserve and missed three games, since returning Crawford has gone 6-1-0. The Blackhawks will again look to Anton Forsberg to pick up the slack in Crawford’s absence. Forsberg is 1-4-3 with the Blackhawks this year.
Goalie Jeff Glass is 10-4-2 with the Rockford IceHogs and has yet to make an NHL regular season appearance. Rookie forward David Kampf has 17 points in 30 games this season with the IceHogs. Kampf impressed during preseason and looks to be a decent bottom line player.
The Blackhawks play Thursday against the Vancouver Canucks at 9:00 PM CT
