The Chicago Blackhawks have traded Ben Smith to San Jose according to multiple reports.

The Sharks will send center Andrew Desjardins in exchange for the right winger. Smith played in 61 games for the Blackhawks this season, tallying 9 points. Desjardins is in the final year of his contract and will clear up $750,000 in cap space for the Blackhawks.
