Teuvo Time in Chicago is over.
The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Wednesday that they have traded Teuvo Teravainen and Bryant Bickell to Carolina. In return, the Blackhawks will receive a second-round pick in 2016 and a third-round pick in 2017.

This comes exactly a year after the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup at the United Center, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Bickell signed a four-year deal worth $16 million in the summer of 2013, which is regarded as the biggest mistake made by General Manager Stan Bowman. Now the Blackhawks have rid themselves of the Bickell deal but it cost them a young talent in Teravainen.
The 21-year-old Teravainen spent two seasons with the Blackhawks, scoring a total of 17 goals and 27 assists. Teravainen played all three forward positions last season for head coach Joel Quenneville and was the most versatile forward on the team.
The move does save the Blackhawks some money, which they could use to lock up Andrew Shaw and extend Artemi Panarin.
