Next season marks 100 years as a franchise for the Chicago Blackhawks and it will be a year filled with promise in the team’s current rebuild. The season will mark the third year of Connor Bedard’s career after he has posted over 60 points and 20 goals in each of his first two campaigns as a pro.
Chicago will hope to climb out of the league’s basement in the standings in the fall. They finished 31st in the NHL for the second straight year and will have a guaranteed top-four pick in the draft this summer. While the hope is for the on-ice product to improve next season, the team will look different when they begin the campaign at the United Center in October.
Chicago Blackhawks uniform concept revealed for 100th season
Per reports, the Chicago Blackhawks will have a new uniform concept for the 2025-26 season. This was assumed by fans, as the Boston Bruins had a different set of sweaters for their 100th campaign as a franchise in 2023. It appears that the Blackhawks will have more than one change to their current uniform rotation to look forward to.
“Chicago is poised to have special uniforms for next season only,” per Icethetics. “I’m told to expect new home and 3rd jersey designs, at the very least.”
Many are hoping that the franchise will bring back a black sweater as the primary alternate uniform next season. This is something that the Blackhawks have had before, but they have gone away from those for quite some time. The team brought out new sweaters for the Winter Classic this year, which were a massive hit among fans. It will be interesting to see if that sweater is in consideration for the third uniform next year.
