The NBA Finals are about to begin, but already some news on the 2016-17 season has been leaked.
Playing on Christmas Day has been a tradition for the league for numerous years as they put the game’s best teams and biggest stars on the national stage. The Bulls have played on Christmas Day five-straight seasons after not being featured from 1998-2009.
It once again looks like they might be playing on the holiday again as the NBA jerseys for the games have leaked.
ESPN’s Uni Watch blog posted the jerseys for all NBA teams including the Bulls which you can see below:
I love the all-red colorway with black and silver accents. More importantly, the jersey is a feed off the team’s classic throwback jerseys with “Chicago” in cursive.
The Bulls brought back those classic throwbacks for a few games last season and the reception from fans was pretty good.
It’s also a similar look to the 2015 Christmas Day jerseys that they wore in their win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
There’s no guarantee the Bulls will play on Christmas Day, but they still are an attractive team for the league to schedule on the holiday. Stay tuned.
