Nic Claxton (Forward)
Last season: 8.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.1 blocks per game
Claxton will be a power forward that Chicago will have a shot at signing this summer. The 23-year-old stands at a tall 6’11” and carries a motor that can spark both some offense and defense. The former G-League hooper thrives in making big blocks on defense and has a soft touch to finish around the rim.
Claxton was also a productive player for the Brooklyn Nets during the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, averaging 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game. One red flag in his game could be his poor free-throw shooting, which NBA teams have come around to test him on. Besides that, Claxton still carries plenty of upside for Chicago at his size and young age. After three years in the league, all with Brooklyn, it would not be a surprise to see the young forward seek a new contract with a different team.
