The Chicago Bulls are likely to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day, according to a report from NBA Writer Brett Pollakoff.
The two will meet in a rematch of a Christmas Day matchup in 2011 where Derrick Rose scored a late bucket to life the Bulls over the Lakers in Los Angeles. With the return of both Kobe Bryant and Rose from injuries this season, the matchup earned more hype.
The matchup will also mark the return of Carlos Boozer to the United Center after the Bulls decided to use the amnesty clause on the forward this year. It could also be the first time Pau Gasol faces his former team.
This will be the fifth consecutive season the Bulls are playing on Christmas Day with the Bulls going 2-2 the previous four years. The full NBA schedule will be released tomorrow night on NBATV.
