The Chicago Bulls added another win to their record as they beat the Miami Heat last night 119-111.
The Bulls moved up in the Eastern Conference standings to ninth place with this win, helping to increase their chances of making the playoffs when they play in the play-in tournament.
The Bulls were led to victory by their young guys coming up when it mattered. Josh Giddey led the effort and Matas Buzelis, Coby White, and Kevin Huerter fell right behind him.

Giddey had another great performance against the Heat, having his second triple-double in three games and his seventh triple-double of the season. This ties him with Joakim Noah for third place in franchise history for triple-doubles.
Giddey’s stat line: 28.0 points, 16.0 rebounds, 11.0 assists.
“Josh Giddey’s 7th triple-double of the year!
Josh is now tied with Joakim Noah for No 3. in franchise history in triple-doubles.”

”1000 pts, 500 reb, 500 ast!
Josh Giddey just became the third player to reach these totals in the NBA this season.
The others: LeBron James & Nikola Jokic.”

Earning an extension

Giddey will become a restricted free agent this summer, and his play as of late is helping to build his case on why he’ll earn a lucrative extension.
This season has seen Giddey move forward in his career and become the floor general.
Giddey is ranked in the top ten in the league for assists (ninth), averaging 7.2 a game, which marks a career-high.
Giddey’s play is justifying why he needs to be retained and be the focal point of the Bulls offense.
The Bull’s young core is what is leading them to their success and why they could stand a good chance in the play-in tournament.
The Bulls are back at it tomorrow night when they play the Washington Wizards in the second-to-last game of the regular season.
