The Chicago Bulls saga just keeps getting more ridiculous with each passing day.
A day after Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler called out their younger teammates following their 119-114 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, much-maligned point guard Rajon Rondo hit back on social media.
Via his Instagram, Rondo had this to say about yesterday’s lecture from Butler and Wade:

Rondo’s latest post channeled some of his experiences in Boston playing alongside future Hall of Famers Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who are shown pictured with him, while taking clear shots at the leadership of his veteran teammates.
His outburst, while adding to his checkered history as a malcontent, also further added to the frustrations surrounding this Bulls team.
With the Bulls sitting at 23-24 overall and battling to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff hunt, Butler particularly has been vocal in his displeasure with the team’s inconsistency, speaking out about the Bulls’ effort and casting doubt upon head coach Fred Hoiberg’s ability to manage his strong personality.
Needless to say, the strife growing among this Bulls’ roster is becoming a very real problem. The expectations the front office had when bringing in Rondo and Wade have failed spectacularly, and this inability to keep the team focused reflects badly not just on the veterans but on Hoiberg as well.
There’s still a lot of basketball left to play, but right now, it’s going to be hard to ignore the Bulls’ need for a clean slate at the end of this year. This drama has gone on long enough.
