Should the 2011-2012 NBA season even happen, the Bulls will be on national TV for 29 of their games. For Bulls fans not residing in Chicago, this is great news.
Let’s take a look at the 10 most exciting match-ups…
Nov. 1 at Dallas: The Mavericks will be raising their championship banner, and there is no doubt Mark Cuban and company will have the American Airlines Center rocking. Rose will be excited for a matchup that will mark his first regular season game as the league’s reigning MVP.
Nov. 10 vs. Oklahoma City: This will be the Bulls’ third home game, and it should be one of the most entertaining of the season. Any time Rose is on the floor with Thunder stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, it’s worth the price of admission.
Nov. 25 at Indiana: The Bulls’ first matchup against Danny Granger and the Pacers comes near the end of a two-week, eight-game, road trip. Just like last year’s Eastern Conference quarterfinals, there is no doubt the games against Indiana will be physical.
Dec. 25 at Lakers: How do you know when you’ve returned as one of the league’s marquee franchises? You play in the showcase game on Christmas day against the Lakers.
Jan. 1 vs. Memphis: Two of the league’s youngest and most entertaining teams face off on New Year’s Day. Rose recorded his first triple double last season against the Grizzlies.
Jan. 19 at Miami : A rematch of the Eastern Conference finals. One of the quirkiest parts of the schedule is that the Bulls play the Heat just ten days later in Miami.
Feb. 12 at Boston: Joakim Noah and Kevin Garnett renew their rivalry as the Bulls try to figure out a way to beat this veteran-laden team in the Garden … something they could not do last season.
Feb. 22 vs. Orlando: Dwight Howard and the Magic come to town for the final game before the All-Star break. Will Bulls fans cheer Howard’s every move, hoping he ends up in Chicago? Rose won’t care, he went off for 42 against the Spurs in the final game before the break last season.
March 12 vs. New York: Carmelo Anthony makes his first United Center appearance as a Knick in what will surely be a high-scoring affair.
April 12 vs. Miami: With just five games remaining in the regular season, there is a very good chance this game could help determine No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
