The Chicago Bulls have officially announced the signing of Ronnie Brewer to a contract that will last the remainder of the season. The moves comes after the Bulls officially waived rookie Erik Murphy.
The 6-foot-7 guard/forward returns to the Bulls after spending part of this season with the Houston Rockets. Brewer was released from the Rockets in February. He previously played two seasons with the Bulls from 2010 to 2012.
As a Bull, Brewer averaged 6.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists. With the move it gives the Bulls depth and gives Brewer the chance to be brought in to serve for defensive purposes and give Jimmy Butler some rest.
The Bulls roster is currently at 13 players and the team is expected to bring in another veteran to the roster.
