Coby White continues to have a tremendous season in the Chicago Bulls backcourt as they prepare for the play-in tournament in a couple of weeks. The 2019 first-round draft choice is in the second year of a three-year contract extension that he signed in July 2023.
He snapped a 15-game streak of scoring 20 plus points in Monday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he only posted seven points. White broke his own single-season record during Sunday’s road matchup with the Charlotte Hornets.
Chicago Bulls’ Coby White breaks own single-season franchise record

During Sunday’s game, White broke his own single-season franchise record for most 3-pointers in a season with 210. He is coming off a 31-point showing at home against the Trail Blazers in a 118-113 victory, furthering the Bulls’ position in the play-in tournament. The former North Carolina Tar Heel set this record last season after Zach LaVine made 204 3-pointers to take the cake during the 2022-23 campaign.
White is averaging 20.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game this year on 45.1% shooting from the field. He is knocking down 36.9% of his attempts from 3-point range, which matches his career mark. White is making things difficult for the Bulls’ front office this offseason, as they will now need to worry about contracts for him and fellow guard Josh Giddey. Both have played incredibly down the stretch for this playoff push and should without a doubt be involved in the organization’s plans down the road.
