It finally happened.
After it was reported that the New York Yankees were ready to deal closer Aroldis Chapman, the Chicago Cubs were one of the teams making a push. It was also reported that the Cubs were the front runners to land Chapman.
On July 25th, it officially happened.

The Cubs will send prospect Gleyber Torres, Adam Warren, and Billy McKinney to the Yankees for Chapman:
Chapman is arguably the best closer in baseball and even touched 105 on the radar gun earlier this season. He gives the Cubs a shutdown closer late in games to go a long with setup man Pedro Strop and former closer Hector Rondon.
The closer appeared in 31 games for the Yankees this season, posting a 2.01 ERA and has recorded 20 saves. He was acquired by the Yankees from Cincinnati in the offseason.
Torres was pulled from the Myrtle Beach Pelican’s lineup on Sunday as his name was reported to be the headline of the trade. The 19-year-old was listed as the 24th-best prospect going into the 2016 season by MLB.com.
He’s hitting .275 with 9 home runs and 45 RBI’s in 94 games for the Pelicans this season.
