It’s Tuesday, October 25 and the Chicago Cubs are playing in the World Series. Yes, you read that correctly.
The Cubs and Cleveland Indians will face off in the World Series, beginning with Game 1 on Tuesday night. Chicago will send ace Jon Lester to the mound to oppose former AL Cy Young winner Corey Kluber.
On Tuesday morning, the Cubs announced their World Series roster and holy shit… there is Kyle Schwarber.
Yep, the same Kyle Schwarber who suffered what we thought to be a season-ending injury back in April is officially back and expected to DH.
Check out the official roster below:

The Cubs are going with 11 pitchers instead of 12 like the NLCS, as Rob Zastryzny was left off in place of Schwarber.
The 23-year-old Schwarber will likely DH and pinch-hit for the Cubs as it’s hard to see any scenario where he plays the field in Wrigley. Either way, it could be another big boost to the Cubs lineup with him in there.
