Seven members of the Chicago Cubs are soaking up the spotlight at the 2016 MLB All-Star Game in San Diego this week. The National League will have an entire infield of Cubs on Tuesday night, plus pitchers Jon Lester and Jake Arrieta.
With the Cubs success in the first half of the season, they are getting a lot of national exposure as well.
On Monday’s episode of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”, the host showed off his lucky Cubs items that he has to bring the North Siders some luck this season.
Among those lucky items are All-Stars Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant and Jake Arrieta who he “rubs” for good luck.
Bryant and Arrieta can play the part, but it’s pretty funny watching Rizzo struggle to keep a straight face during the skit.
Let’s hope Colbert brings some good luck and the Cubs win it all this season.
